3D Printing Materials for Planters

We’ve been printing pots for over 3 years and counting with a successful Etsy store, which means we’ve had time to figure out what works and what doesn’t. We want to share our favorite filaments with you, but we’re starting small just to make sure you all are interested! We’re currently offering select filaments from FormFutura and are working towards getting a PLA/PHA filament for outdoor use.

StoneFil Terracotta

With an orange-red color that looks like a bright red clay, any planters made with this Terracotta filament will appear as if they came straight out of the kiln. Layer lines can sometimes disappear, depending on the model, slicing settings, etc.

StoneFil Granite

This granite filament will make your planters look as if they were carved out of a light grey stone – perfect for making statuettes, face planters, or stone-like garden decorations.

Protopasta HTPLA

NEWLY ADDED! We now offer a curated selection of Protopasta’s HTPLA filament. We love Protopasta’s HTPLA line because it’s stronger and more durable than standard PLA, can be heat-treated for higher heat resistance.

Ten Star Wars 3D Prints To Make Into a Planter
In 2008, the film Iron Man hit theaters. At the time, this was a huge gamble. Marvel decided to use their own independent studio. They based the movie on a lesser-known character that Stan Lee admitted was meant to be unlikable. Then they cast Robert Downey, Jr. in the lead role shortly after his well-documented struggles with drugs and alcohol.

About PrintAPot Tech

PrintAPot Tech is brought to you by the people behind Print A Pot, a 3D printing business that specializes in 3D printed pots and planters. We care about plants, gardening, and the environment, and we choose to use plant-based plastic (PLA or PLA/PHA) for all of our pottery as it is industrially compostable and biodegradable. We aren’t the only people to ever 3D print a pot, but not everyone has a passion for plants as we do.
