3D Printed Planters for Valentine’s Day
With COVID, Valentine’s Day this year is bound to be different than others, but you can still celebrate with flowers, chocolates, and some DIY Valentine’s projects. So why not make a 3D printed planter for Valentine’s Day? Dress it up with a plant or some flowers for the perfect Valentine’s gift.
Here are 4 projects you can make in time for February 14th.
Heart Box as a Planter
There are many heart boxes on Thingiverse, but this one looks to be my favorite with its perfect heart shape. Print the box by itself to make into a planter (you can add drainage holes with a soldering tool or drill, or customize it in your design software to add holes). Or to have a more dressed up Valentine’s present, print both the box and lid, put succulents inside the box in pretty cupcake liners, and wrap with a bow.
Love to the Moon and back
This low poly moon planter is adorable and could be gifted any time of the year, but we think it would be great for Valentine’s Day! Use with a glow-in-the-dark filament for a moon that glows when the lights turn off
Which planter are you going to be 3d printing for your green-thumbed dad on Father’s Day?
Baby Groot with heart hands
Everyone loves Baby Groot, and your loved one will love his cute hands making a heart symbol!
Try printing this with FormFutura EasyCork for a soft and smooth feel.
Heart Mold
What if you wanted to make a heart-shaped cement planter? Thingiverse user kubat provides the files for a heart mold:
You can probably add drainage to this by adding small bottlecaps in the bottom mold before adding the cement.
